Say hi to this curious Common Marmoset monkey ๐ which is the funniest creature that you can meet in any park of Rio de Janeiro. Scientific name of this primate is Callithrix jacchus. They’re also known as the White-tufted-ear or Cotton-eared Marmoset because of a white blaze on the forehead and white ear tufts.

๐You can see them accidentally in any city parks of Brazil, jumping around, as they are native to the scrub forest and drier Atlantic forest of north eastern Brazil.
๐ตThey live in stable groups with an average size of 8-10 individuals. Each group usually contains only one breeding pair: the highest ranking male and female.
๐They feed on fruits, flowers, nectar and small animal prey (including frogs, snails, lizards, spiders and insects).
๐Marmosets are small New World monkeys and an adult body of this cute animal has a length of 14-19cm (not including their long tail) and an average adult body mass of 300-500g.
They are very friendly and curious, always want to come close to people and take something tasty from hands. Enjoy their presence and smile ๐ต
